Community & Parent Education
Learning does not happen in isolation. Students are shaped not only by what happens in the classroom, but by the relationships, rhythms, and systems that surround them.
Supporting students by supporting the adults around them
Community & Parent Education focuses on strengthening the adult learning ecosystem around students. Through workshops, facilitated conversations, and professional development, we support parents, caregivers, educators, and school communities in building environments where students can thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.
This work is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and connection, and designed to meet communities where they are.
Parent and Caregiver Education
Parenting and caregiving in today’s educational landscape can feel overwhelming. Many families are navigating academic pressure, neurodivergence, executive function challenges, and emotional stress, often without much guidance or support.
We offer workshops and learning spaces for parents and caregivers that are practical, grounded, and non-judgmental. These sessions are not about prescribing a “right way” to parent. They are about helping adults better understand learning, development, and their own role in supporting children with confidence and clarity.
Topics may include:
supporting learning at home without burnout or power struggles
understanding neurodivergence and different learning profiles
executive function, organization, and daily rhythms
emotional intelligence, co-regulation, and communication
navigating transitions and change
helping children build confidence and self-advocacy
Sessions can be offered as one-time workshops, short series, or community conversations, either virtually or in collaboration with schools and parent groups.
Faculty and Staff Professional Development
Educators and school staff are carrying an enormous amount. Traditional professional development often focuses on compliance, tools, or mandates, while overlooking the human side of teaching and learning.
Creatures of Learning offers professional development experiences that center connection, motivation, and whole-child thinking. These sessions are designed to support educators as people, not just practitioners, and to help strengthen school culture from the inside out.
Professional development may focus on:
building community and connection within schools
supporting neurodivergent learners through inclusive practices
executive function and student readiness
cultivating motivation, meaning, and engagement
compassionate leadership and sustainable teaching practices
navigating change and supporting student transitions
PD offerings are collaborative, reflective, and adaptable. Rather than delivering a fixed program, we work with schools to design sessions that respond to their unique context and needs.
A Bridge Between Learning and Life
This work recognizes that adults are learners too, and that strong educational systems depend on supported, reflective, and connected communities.
By investing in parent education and staff development, schools create conditions where students feel safer, more understood, and more motivated to learn.
Community & Parent Education is grounded in a simple idea: when adults feel more supported and connected, students do better.
This work is relationship-centered, practical, and responsive. We listen first, then design sessions that meet real needs rather than delivering a fixed program. The focus is on clarity, connection, and tools that people can actually use.
